Announcement of Intention to Accredit the Education Training and Development Practices Sector Education Training Authority

The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) hereby notifies the public that it intends to accredit the Education Training and Development Practices SETA for the following qualifications registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF):

	Generic Assessor Standards registered on the NQF
1.	Plan and conduct Assessment of Learning Outcomes 15 credits	Level 5
2.	Moderate Assessment 10 credits	Level 6
3.	Verify Moderation of Assessment 10 credits	Level 7
4.	Design and Develop Assessment 10 credit	Level 6

	Occupationally - Directed ETD Practitioners
1.	Certificate in OD Education, Training and Development Practices	Level 4
2.	Certificate in OD Education, Training and Development Practices	Level 5
3.	Diploma in OD Education, Training and Development Practices	Level 5
4.	National First Degree in OD Education, Training and Development Practices	Level 6

	ABET Practitioners
1.	National Certificate in ABET Practice	Level 4
2.	National Certificate in ABET Practice	Level 5
3.	National Certificate in ABET Practice	Level 5
4.	National First Degree in ABET Practice	Level 6

	ECD Practitioners
1.	National Certificate in ECD	Level 1
2.	National Certificate in ECD	Level 4
3.	National Diploma in ECD	Level 5

from the 18 April 2001 to 17 March 2004 in terms of Section 2 (1) of the Education and Training Quality Assurance Regulations (Government Gazette No. 19231 published on 8 September 1998).

Objections to such accreditation must please be lodged with the Executive Officer of SAQA by the 8 April 2001.
