PUBLIC NOTICE BY NSB 12, PHYSICAL PLANNING AND CONSTRUCTION, OF AN APPLICATION TO REGISTER AN SGB FOR TOWN AND REGIONAL PLANNING |
NSB 12 has received an application to recognise and register an SGB for Town and Regional Planning and Development Planning.
PROPOSED BRIEF OF THE SGB
Identify transformation, development and equity issues relevant to the sub-field Physical Planning and Design in NQF organising field 12 and develop mechanisms to include these issues within qualifications as envisaged in 2 below [Regulation 24(1)(e)]
Update qualifications based on exit level outcomes at NQF levels 4 to 8 in and assessment criteria according to Authority requirements in respect of the qualification listed ins below [(Regulations 24 (1)(b)].
Generate Certificate, Diplomas, Graduate and Post-Graduate qualifications in the areas of; Town/Urban and Regional Planning; Development Planning;; Urban Design and Management [Regulation 24(1)(a)].
Liase with all other SGBs in the field whose briefs mandate them to generate Physical Planning and Design qualifications [Regulation 24(1)(a) & (e)].
Recommend the qualifications generated in 2 and 3, above, to National Standards Body 12 [Regulation 24(1)(c)].
Recommend criteria for the registration of assessor and moderators or moderating bodies [Regulation 24(1)(d)].
Accept and perform other related functions as requested by NSB 12 [Regulation 24(1)(e)]
