PUBLIC NOTICE BY NSB 04, COMMUNICATION STUDIES AND LANGUAGE. OF THE REGISTRATION OF AN SGB FOR JOURNALISM

NSB04 hereby registers an SGB for Joumalism for a period of three years, until 31 July 2003.

BRIEF OF THE SGB

  1. Develop learning pathways for potential qualifications and unit standards in the sub-field Journalism from NQF Level 1 through to Level 8 [Regulation 24(1) (e)].
  2. Generate the qualifications outlined below in accordance with Authority requirements for NQF levels 1 to 8:
  1. Recommend the qualifications and standards generated under 2, above, to the NSB [Regulation 24 (1)(c)].
  2. Recommend criteria for the registration of assessors and moderators or moderating bodies [Regulation 24 (1) (d)].
  3. Review these qualifications and unit standards and effect the necessary changes [Regulation 24 (1) (b)].
  4. Perform such other tasks as may, from time to time; be assigned by the NSB [Regulation 24 (1) (e)]
