PUBLIC NOTICE BY NSB 01, AGRICULTURE AND NATURE CONSERVATION, OF THE REGISTRATION OF AN SGB FOR NATURE CONSERVATION |
NSB 01 hereby registers an SGB for Nature Conservation for a period of three years, until 02 February 2003.
Brief of the SGB
Develop reaming pathways for potential qualifications in the sub-field Nature Conservation from level 1 through to level 8 [Regulation 24(1)(e)]
Generate the following unit standards-based qualifications in the sub-field, in accordance with Authority requirements, at NQF levels 5 to 8 [Regulation 24(1J(a)]:
In the areas of animal / vegetation management; natural resources protection or natural resources integrity; infrastructure maintenance; sustainable natural resources utilisation; conservation-based community development or community-based natural resources management; terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems management; tourism / visitor interaction and management; natural resources economics or valuing wildlife; and unique cultural and natural sites management
- Certificate in Community Conservation, Natural Resource Conservation (NQF level 5),
- Diploma in Natural Resource Management (NQF level 5),
- First Degree in Natural Resource Management (NQF level 6),
- Masters Degrees in Natural Resource Management (NQF level 7)
- Doctoral Degrees in Natural Resource Management (NQF level 8)
In the areas of sustainable land use options; partnerships; community based tourism and rural development; and the project cycle
- Certificate in Community Conservation (NQF level 5),
- Diploma in Community Conservation (NQF level 5),
- First Degree in Community Conservation (NQF level 6),
- Masters Degrees in Community Conservation (NQF level 7)
- Doctoral Degrees in Community Conservation (NQF level 8)
In the areas of customer care and services excellence; the interpretative experience; client safety; and eco-friendly guiding and guiding ethics.
