PUBLICATION OF EXPLANATORY SUMMARY OF THE NONPROFIT
ORGANISATIONS AMENDMENT BILL
The Minister for Welfare and Population Development intends introducing the Nonprofit Organisations Amendment Bill in the National Assembly in February 2000. The explanatory summary of the Bill is hereby published in accordance with Rule 241(c) of the Rules of the National Assembly.
The Bill provides for:
The amendment of the Nonprofit Organisations Act, 1997 (Act No. 71 of 1997) so as to alter the procedure of preparing and issuing model documents and codes of good practice for nonprofit organisations; to effect textual alterations to sections 9, 24, 25, and 34 of the Act and to provide for matters connected therewith.
