PUBLIC NOTICE BY NSB 06, MANUFACTURING, ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, OF AN APPLICATION TO REGISTER AN SGB FOR FOOTWEAR

NSB 06 has received an application to recognise and register an SGB for Footwear

PROPOSED BRIEF OF THE SGB

  1. Develop learning pathways for potential qualifications and unit standards in the sub-field Manufacturing and Assembly from Level 1 through to Level 5 in Footwear Processes and Technology [Regulation 24(1)(e)].

  2. Generate the following qualifications in accordance with Authority requirements:

[Regulation 24(1)(a)].

  1. Recommend the standards and qualifications generated under 2, above, to the National Standards Body [Regulation 24(1)(c)].

  2. Recommend criteria for the registration of assessors and moderators or moderating bodies [Regulation 24(1)(d)].

  3. Review these qualifications and unit standards and effect the necessary changes [Regulation 24(1)(b)].

  4. Maintain liaison with other related Standards Generating Bodies in the field [Regulation 24(1)(e)].

  5. Perform such other functions as may from time to time be delegated by the NSB.
