In terms of section 96(6) of the Telecommunications Act, 1996 (Act No 103 of1996), I, Jay Naidoo, Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Broadcasting, hereby approved and publish the following regulation made by the South African Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in terms of section 88(1) read with sections 96(1) and 96(5)(b) of the Telecommunications Act, 1996 (Act No 103of 1996)

REGULATION IN TERMS OF SECTION 88(1) READ WITH SECTIONS 96(1) AND 96(5)(b) OF THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS ACT, 1996 (ACT NO 103 OF 1996), REGARDING THE APPLICATION FEE FOR APPLICATIONS FOR ONE MOBILE CELLULAR TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICE LICENCE TO BE SUBMITTED IN RESPONSE TO AN INVITATION BY THE MINISTER FOR POSTS, TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND BROADCASTING IN TERMS OF SECTION 34(2)(a)(ii) OF THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS ACT, 1996 (ACT NO 103 OF 1996)
The application fee for an application for one mobile cellular telecommunication service licence to be submitted in response to an invitation by the Minister for Posts,Telecommunications and Broadcasting in terms of section 34(2)(a)(ii) of the Telecommunications Act, 1996 (Act No 103 of 1996), is R75 000 (seventy-five thousand rand) payable by way of a cheque, crossed and marked "Not Transferable and made out to the "South African Telecommunications Regulatory Authority Only".
