GENERAL NOTICE

The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) hereby notifies the public that it intends to provisionally accredit the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) for the following 5 qualifications:
- Mine overseer’s Certificate of Competency
- Blasting Certificate of Competency
- Onsetter’s Certificate
- Lampman’s Certificate
- Winding Engine Driver Certificate
From 1 February 2000 to 31 December 2003 in terms of Section 2(1) of the Education Training Quality Assurance Regulations (Government Gazette No. 19231 published on 8 September 1998).
Objections to such provisional accreditation must please be lodged with the Executive Officer of SAQA by the 14 January 2000:
