GENERAL NOTICE

NSB 11 has decided to establish and register an SGB for Hospitality, Tourism, Travel, Gaming and Leisure. The SGB will be registered in the sub-field Hospitality, Tourism, Travel, Gaming and Leisure and will liase closely with all other sub-fields envisaged under Services.

1. Develop learning pathways for potential qualifications and unit standards in Hospitality, Tourism, Travel, Gaming and Leisure [Regulation 24(1)(e)].
2. Generate the following qualifications in accordance with SAQA requirements for NQF levels 3, 4, 5 and 6 in support of the learning pathways above:

• National Certificate in Hospitality – Level 3
• National Certificate in Food and Beverage Management – Level 4
• National Diploma in Hospitality – Level 5
• National First Degree in Hospitality – Level 6
• National Certificate in Travel – Level 4
• National Certificate in Travel – Level 5
• National Certificate in Gaming – Level 4

3. Recommend the standards and qualifications generated in 2, above, to NSB 11 (Services) [Regulation 24(1)(c)].
4. Recommend criteria for the registration of assessors and moderators or moderating bodies [Regulation 24(1)(d)].
5. Perform such other functions as may from time to time be delegated by NSB 11 (Services) [Regulation 24(1)(e)].
