PUBLIC NOTICE BY NSB 09, HEALTH SCIENCES AND SOCIAL SERVICES, OF AN APPLICATION TO REGISTER AN SGB FOR ANCILLARY HEALTH CARE

NSB 09 has received an application to recognise and register an SGB for Ancillary Health Care.

PROPOSED BRIEF OF THE SGB
  1. Develop learning pathways for Ancillary Health Workers and guidelines for the scope or range of practice of Ancillary Health Workers at NQF level 1 [Regulation 24 (1)(e)].
  2. Generate the unit standards-based qualification National Certificate in Ancillary Health Care for Ancillary Health Workers in accordance with Authority requirements in the area of ancillary health care [Regulation 24(1)(a)].
  3. Recommend the qualification and learning pathways in 1 and 2 above to NSB 09 [Regulation 24 (1) (c)].
  4. Review and update the proposed and subsequent standards and qualifications in ancillary health care, as required [Regulation 24 (1) (b)].
