GENERAL NOTICE

Notice 1192 of 1999

NSB 05 hereby registers an SGB for Occupationally-directed ETD Practice for a period of three years (to 31 October 2002).

BRIEF OF THE SGB

1. Identify, in consultation with other initiatives in field 05, the integration, quality and equity issues of relevance to the sub-field [Regulation 24(1)(e)].
2. Generate standards and qualifications for occupationally-directed ETD practice in the ETD field, sub-field Adult Learning, in accordance with Authority requirements [Regulation 24(1)(a)]. The SGB will develop appropriate and specific standards for Occupationally-directed ETD Practice with regard to the following roles: assessor; mentor; occupational specialist; learning mediator; interpreter and designer of learning programmes and materials; leader, administrator and manager; scholar, researcher and life-long learner. These standards will be developed at NQF levels 2 to 8.
3. Recommend the standards and qualifications generated under 2, above, to the National Standards Body [Regulation 24(1)(c)].
4. Recommend criteria for the registration of assessors and moderators or moderating bodies [Regulation 24(1)(d)].
5. Accept and perform other SGB-related functions as requested by NSB 05.
