GENERAL NOTICE

Notice 1124 of 1999

INDEPENDENT BROADCASTING AUTHORITY

The Independent Broadcasting Authority hereby gives notice in accordance with section 52(2) (a) of the Independent Broadcasting Authority Act No. 153 of 1993, that an application has been received in terms of section 52(1) (c) for an amendment to the Broadcasting Licence of Punt Media (Proprietary) Limited broadcasting as Punt Op Mediumgolf (Johannesburg) to make provision for the following changes to the frequency and consequential changes to the technical specifications of the licensee. Currently, the station transmits on 1332 kHz at 50 kW. The proposed change in the frequency transmissions will be to 729 kHz at 50kW. In addition the licensee has applied to change from the present two transmitter sites to one new site in Grootfontein

The application, the relevant Schedules and any written representations received pursuant thereto are for inspection by interested parties during office hours of the Authority.

The effective date of the proposed amendment would be the date on which the decision would be published.

Interested parties are invited to submit written representations in relation to the application to the Licensing Department of the Authority at Khasho House, 26 Baker Street, Rosebank Johannesburg OR Private Bag X31, Parklands 2121 OR by Fax no. (011) 441 1401 within 21 days of the date of publication of this notice.
