ROAD TRAFFIC ACT, 1989 (ACT No. 29 OF 1989)

AMOUNT PAYABLE BY DRIVING LICENCE TESTING CENTRE IN TERMS OF REGULATIONS 247 (1A) AND 255 (1A) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATIONS

I, Satyandranath Ragunanan Maharaj, Minister of Transport, under regulations 247 (1A) and 255 (1A) of the Road Traffic Regulations hereby publish the amount that a driver's licence testing centre shall pay over to the Card Production Facility as contemplated in the said regulations, as being—

1. R40 for every issuance of a driving licence card or professional driving permit; and
2. R5 for every month an application is made after the period determined for it in Government Notice No. R. 343 of 3 March 1998: Provided that this paragraph does not apply to applications made before 1 October 1998.
