ARMAMENTS DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION AMENDMENT ACT NO. 31 OF 1993 [ASSENTED TO 11 MARCH, 1993] [DATE OF COMMENCEMENT: 30 APRIL, 1993] (English text signed by the State President) ACT To amend the Armaments Development and Production Act, 1968, so as to delete certain expressions and to further define “employee”; to abolish the unique labour law dispensation of the Armaments Corporation of South Africa, Limited; and to provide for matters connected therewith. 1.   Amends section 1 of the Armaments Development and Production Act, No. 57 of 1968, as follows:—paragraph (a) substitutes the definition of “employee”; paragraph (b) deletes the definition of “employees’ association”; and paragraph (c) deletes the definition of “strike”. 2.   Repeals sections 8A to 8G inclusive of the Armaments Development and Production Act, No. 57 of 1968. 3.   Repeals section 12A of the Armaments Development and Production Act, No. 57 of 1968. 4.   Short title and commencement.—This Act shall be called the Armaments Development and Production Amendment Act, 1993, and shall come into operation on a date fixed by the State President by proclamation in the Gazette.
