We wish Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu the best of all that is pleasant, prosperous and peaceful in this next chapter of his life.

Archbishop Emeritus Tutu has been a key role-player in the lives of all South Africans. He was part of the Struggle, he helped shape the new South Africa and he continued to build on his humanitarian work through his numerous projects.

Desmond Tutu has also affected the course of events in the world and has become an icon of reason, virtue, patience and tolerance. He has just recently agreed to assist the United Nations special commission of the Joint UN Programme on HIV/Aids that is tasked to identify new ways of reducing HIV infections. We are happy that he will still take part in other key projects. His good work will therefore continue.

Good luck Sir, you've earned a break from a hectic schedule, but please, keep doing your good work.
