- The Banking on Nutrition Partnership Progress Report 2015 – 20203.46 MB
The Banking on Nutrition partnership aims to generate long-term economic growth across Africa by unlocking the nutrition potential of the African Development Bank’s (the Bank) investment portfolio.
It involves leveraging the Bank’s investments in areas such as health, agriculture, WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene), social protection, and education, which account for over 30% of government spending in Africa and serve as underlying drivers of nutrition.
By redesigning these investments to be “nutrition-smart” projects, these sectors can deliver greater social and economic return and impact, representing a double win for the Bank and its member countries.
