SAPOHR having wholeheartedly welcomed the arrests of the “Smallerjana” foot Marshals, Hollywood Style, yesterday, reminds some of us, what the Scorpions Crime Busting Unit, of yesteryear, use to do, until their sudden and un ceremonial disbanding, at ANC Elective Conference in Limpopo a few years ago, says: Golden Miles Bhudu, SAPOHR’s Spokesperson.

SAPOHR remains of the opinion that this move is in the right direction, but merely not enough, because the BIG FISHES, are still roaming around both the corridors of Political and Private Powers.

SAPOHR is tempted to ask, are the Big Fishes going to be next. If Yes, “When?”. If No, “Why Not?”. Because these dangerous, well connected, powerful, resourceful heart bleeding Black, White, Grey and Common Law Political Criminals, liberal and neo-liberal, greedy, selfish Bourgeoisie monopoly capitalist, who have been running a mock not ONLY at the former BOSASA GROUP of COMPANIES and GOVERNMENT Departments, but in the entire SOE fraternity, have for a very long time, acted and behaved as if they were above the law, a law unto themselves and did that, and are still doing it with a culture of sufficient impunity, got away with it, must fall.

 Former ANC MP Vincent Smith who SAPOHR warned years ago, after the sudden and mysterious death of the former Commissioner of Correctional Services, the late Vernie Peterson, to be on the alert of scavenges within BOSASA GROUP OF COMPANIES, he instead showed us his middle finger, true colours, been a High Flyer, Too Big for His Boots, Arrogant and Full of Himself, the very same mistake the Late Vernie Peterson did, and paid the ultimate price.

Here is it today, his wings are cut-off, his celebrity status and his political muscles gone forever.

From been a chairperson of the National Assembly’s portfolio committee on correctional services, an MP of the most popular Political Party to a suspected Corrupt Hooligan and a suspected Criminal, charged with Corruption and Bribes and Brown Envelops received from the former BOSASA GROUP OF COMPANIES. It’s hard to swallow. 

SAPOHR will for now, only confine our outrage to the Thieves and Low Life Criminals in the Department of Correctional Services, for very obvious reasons. SAPOHR witness all of this criminality happening for years on end and blowing the whistle and all was all in vain. Hoping that the day will come where the powerful and untouchable aren’t powerful and untouchable no more.

SAPOHR can’t fandom that a person we all have kept in high regard, can go and sell his soul, political, academic and intellectual career for a lousy electric fence and CCTV worth +_ R200 000 at his Roodepoort home. “What also sickening people like us, is for what did he need an electrical fence and CCTV, because we can’t recall his life been threaten, because he is a “small boy” and a threat to nobody, unless we are mistaken, and sit the POT MISS HERE.

No wonder when the Zondo Commission started picking him up in the whirlwind of Corruption, Criminal and Capture saga, he quickly removed some of the security equipment installed in his home, but that was too little too late.

SAPOHR’s revolutionary advice to him and his likes, because there are many of them, since the days, post the Minister of Correctional Services, the late Minister Ben Skosana, to go to Court a lone ranger. No best Lawyers in the Land. No “Spin Doctors: No Managamanga and Mfanagalo Business. Go tell the TRUTH there. Nothing else but the Gospel Truth, because it is the TRUTH that will set him and his likes free, literally and not physically free. Soul Free.

SAPOHR also call on all those former Ministers, Deputy Ministers, National Commissioners and other high ranking Prison Officials, post the Minister Ben Skosana era, to come forward, confess their sins, before it’s too late, and assist the Zondo Commission of Enquiry to get to the bottom of the rot that has been perpetual and went on for year on end uninterrupted, in this Department.

The Asset Forfeiture Unit, must with an eye of the eagle, watch day in and night out the assets accumulated by these common law political criminals via criminal proceeds that these don’t disappear, because such needs to be confiscated, seized and invested into the fight against crime and violence, and if ONLY there was a Victims Trust Fund, Victims of CRIME and VIOLENCE, should have benefitted from………….

SAPOHR just can’t fandom, why the Powers that be could allow all of this to happen under their watch, unless they were and are complacent and accomplices of the corrosion.

It’s very encouraging that the HAWKS is now, all of a sudden opening their claws to grab these thugs and low life rascals all in the name to root out corruption and malfeasance.

This sudden move if well done would restore the bruised image of of the State and send a clear and unambiguous message, that there isn’t a perfect crime let alone a perfect murder.
