I am humbled and honoured to today accept the offer to become ActionSA’s Provincial Chairperson in the Northern Cape.

I am excited to continue the work of fixing the Northern Cape under a different vehicle and political home and I invite all Northern Cape residents, both present and at home, to join me in this project to become the second biggest party in the province come the 2024 General Elections.

When I resigned from the Democratic Alliance (DA) last month, I did so having served the party for almost two decades in various capacities.  This was because it became clearer and clearer that the DA became a party I could no longer recognize. A party that was once unwavering in its pursuit of unseating the ANC.

It has now softened to the ANC since the Ramaphosa Presidency and that is not the DA I joined.

I joined ActionSA because I believe that this party is committed to finishing the work of unseating the ANC.

I believe that I am an asset to the politics of the Northern Cape because I am an ethical leader whose skills, experience and background will make their contributions invaluable to ActionSA and this province.

As we work towards growing our organization nationwide, there is definitely no doubt that ethical leaders will add value to our efforts to dislodge the ANC who have allowed the people of this province to suffer for far too long.

The Northern Cape remains one of the provinces that has been ravaged by high levels of corruption and gross mismanagement of state resources many of its municipalities and provincial departments.

It is not lost on me that before me stands a mammoth task of leading this province into a new age of compassion and good governance.

The project of fixing the Northern Cape is not one I can do alone, and I will need your help to unseat the criminal enterprise that is the ANC.

I am committed to the cause of fixing the Northern Cape and making a meaningful contribution to serving the people of South Africa.

I commit to you today that I will take up the fight against corruption which remains the cancer plaguing this province.

Let me be clear.

When I vow my commitment to this province, I mean I am ready and committed to getting justice for the people affected by the ANC and its craven corruption.

I cannot wait to be your premier my people of the Northern Cape.

Let’s fix the country.

Let’s start with the Northern Cape.
