Parliament arson accused Zandile Mafe will be sent for psychiatric evaluation in the Eastern Cape after refusing to go back to Valkenberg Hospital in Cape Town.
In the meantime, the State is ready to start the trial. Western Cape High Court Judge Robert Henney postponed the case for another pre-trial appearance on 28 March for the referral to Fort England Hospital to be confirmed.
Mafe's charges include arson and terrorism regarding the massive fire at Parliament which started on 2 January last year.
