Pan Africanist Congress of Azania (PAC) have been vindicated for firing Alton Mphethi in the party after finding the information about murdering a Swaziland national couple of years ago. Mphethi did not disclose this misdemeanour before being co-opted and assuming the office of PAC president. We can safely say we have indeed escaped a huge embarrassment.

Alton Mphethi used his influence as PAC leader and member of parliament to get rid of this case. Justice was delayed nevertheless ultimately done. Mphethi and his younger brother, Lazarus were sentenced to 7 years and will only spend 2 years while 5 years is suspended. They expected to be free after the brutal murder of a human being.

We are content and appreciate the effectiveness of the justice system of this country. We hope that it will bring all criminals hiding in politics to their knees. We know that this sentence will not resurrect Mavundla but we strongly believe that it will send message to people who think that they are above the law and constitution because of the social standing they possess.

We are proud today that we acted before the verdict of the court, we got rid of him because we strongly advocate an organisation of no criminals but Africans behaving in more acceptable conduct. We are not going to allow people to use PAC as a scapegoat. Every action has got a consequences.

We also have a fidelity in our correctional services for rehabilitation processes, we believe that he will come back a better person to live again with other human being. According to our party constitution he is not going to hold any office in the organisation or in the name of the PAC. We hope that the justice system will go on to probe other criminals holding public offices like they did last week Tuesday.
