Minister of Human Settlements Nomaindiya Mfeketo will on Tuesday 23 April 2019 hand-over more than 1000 title deeds and interact with the community of Khayelitsha, Cape Town as part of a Nation-wide Title Deeds Restoration project.
This programme is a result of MINMEC (Minister and MECs) decision of 19 October 2018 meeting to intensify among others, the Title Deeds Restoration project. The Department of Human Settlements is committed to restoring the dignity of ordinary South Africans through the delivery of sustainable human settlements. To date, over 4, 7 million houses and subsidies have been delivered across the country benefiting millions of deserving households.
