No amount of posing and grandstanding will absolve the cowardly ANC of their role in collapsing service delivery and bringing Enoch Mgijima to its knees.

Their poor attempts at trying to deflect attention from their failures by playing the race card and trying to link yesterday’s violent protests in Komani to the DA’s Power to the People march to Lutuli House is ludicrous, cowardly and frankly lacking any credibility.

When all else fails, the ANC starts to criticise their own failures and then blame someone else, and it would be comical if it wasn’t so pathetic.

The people are fed up. They are tired of getting ever-deteriorating services while being fed empty promises by a corrupt ANC government that has shown time and again that the only people they care about are themselves.

Fact. It is the ANC who is to blame for the electricity crisis in South Africa.

Fact. It is the ANC who is to blame for the collapsed service delivery and ongoing power outages in Enoch Mgijima.

The corrupt cabal of ANC cadres that lead the municipal administration have gone rogue and are so hellbent on holding on to power that they are openly defying all instructions from the National Cabinet Representative (NCR) team, which was sent by the national government to clean up the mess in Enoch Mgijima.

Even the Mayor admits to spending his time in the local pub during the day, when he should be on the ground, dealing with these issues!

Yesterday, 26 January 2023, following the Komani shutdown march, the ANC in the Enoch Mgijima Sub-Region released a statement that reverted to blaming the DA and alleged racism for their utter and criminal failings.

Make no mistake, it is the ANC that is to blame for the collapse of services and rampant corruption in the Enoch Mgijima Municipality.

The people can no longer be fooled or bought by empty promises. They have had enough!

The DA will keep on fighting for the residents of Enoch Mgijima. we will not be deterred by the hollow allegations of a governing party that is slowly sinking into oblivion.
