With his signature wit and lucidity, Tim Cohen’s ruminations on the strange rules and the even stranger new rulers of this random world will help you make sense of it all!
Loose Canon, named after Cohen’s popular blog, is a collection of the very best of his writing. He tackles everything from Donald Trump and Cyril Ramaphosa to BEE and Bitcoin.
He questions what happened to the millions the Soccer World Cup song ‘Waka Waka’ made, ponders the Afrikaner ‘refugees’ in the United States, and offers his theory for the world’s morbid fascination with the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein. Nothing is off limits.
Cohen has a voice like no other in South African journalism. His penetrating takes on the politics, economics and governance of our time are unmatched.
