South Africa recorded 58 more Covid-19-related deaths by Monday, bringing the death toll to 21 535.
Of the 58 deaths, 32 were recorded in the Eastern Cape, five in the Free State, three in Gauteng, three in KwaZulu-Natal and 15 in the Western Cape.
"We extend our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the healthcare workers who treated the deceased patients," Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said in a statement on Monday evening.
The cumulative total of Covid-19 cases in SA is 790 004 with 2 302 new cases identified since the last report. Recoveries are at 731 242.
