This week the Institute of Economic Justice (IEJ) is releasing an important and timely research report on fiscal policy entitled: Is South Africa facing a ‘fiscal crisis’? Organised worker formations and other progressive sections of society could find the report beneficial in the struggle against austerity. It can be viewed this afternoon on www.iej.org.za.
The IEJ research contributed to the technical analysis, and informed some of the proposals the SACP has adopted in waging our relentless struggle against austerity, including through our Red October Campaign 2023 which we launched on Sunday, 1 October.
