My Vote Counts (MVC) invites you to join us for a conversation with former IEC Vice-Chairperson Terry Tselane. Tselane joined the Commission in 1998. He served as a Commissioner for the IEC for almost 14 years and was Vice-Chairperson of the Commission from 2011 to 2018. During that period he delivered eight general elections and hundreds of by-elections.
Tselane will be in conversation with YouthLab Director and activist, Pearl Pillay. The conversation will focus on his experience as a Commissioner of the IEC, the recently concluded 2019 election and whether there is a need for review on electoral legislation.
As part of our commitment to improving the accountability, transparency and inclusiveness of elections and politics in South Africa, we hope that this conversation will shed light on issues around our electoral system. Join us for what promises to be a robust and informed discussion.
