Following our previous announcements on the Competition Commission's market inquiry into the healthcare sector (available here and here), the Commission has confirmed that it is in the final stages of preparing to commence the market inquiry into the private healthcare sector. KPMG has been appointed as the Commission's technical adviser for the inquiry.

The Commission has further confirmed that it is in the process of finalising the terms of reference now that it has reviewed all the submissions made after the publication of the draft terms of reference. The website for the inquiry is now live and the submissions of various stakeholders may be viewed here. The Commission has indicated that the final terms of reference will be published in December.
