Deputy President David Mabuza will appear for an oral question and answer session with permanent delegates of the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) on Thursday at 14:00. 

Cluster 2A Ministers, which comprises departments of Social Services, Basic Education and Higher Education, Science and Innovation, will also appear for oral replies to questions in the NCOP on Tuesday.

Section 92(2) of the Constitution stipulates that Cabinet Members are accountable collectively and individually to Parliament for the exercise of powers and performance of their functions. 

This week the National Assembly Portfolio Committees continue with Budget Review and Recommendation Reports (BRRR).

BRRR provide among other things, assessments for the department’s service delivery performance, and may include recommendations on the forward use of resources. BRRR enables committees to integrate and consolidate budgetary oversight with other oversight work related to service delivery implementation by committees.
