ENSafrica is excited to announce that we have expanded our banking and finance offering through the appointment of two executives in our Sandton office.

Nzame Qokweni, who has over 15 years’ experience, joins the firm from Norton Rose Fulbright, while Curwin Francis, who holds a BCom, an LLB and an MBA, joins from the Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa.

They join ENSafrica’s 73-strong banking and finance team, which is ranked in the top tier across all major international rankings.

Both Nzame and Curwin have significant expertise in specialised financing arrangements, including acquisition and leveraged finance, syndicated lending, preference shares and structured finance. They have acted for local and international clients in a variety of industries and sectors, including blue chip companies, financial institutions, development financing entities, government, energy producers and asset management and investment companies.

“We are delighted that Nzame and Curwin have decided to join ENSafrica. Their combined expertise and experience will augment that of our specialist team, each of whom has invaluable expertise in specific areas of banking and finance. This combination of skills enables us to continue offering the full range of market participants innovative solutions in relation to the most complex and demanding matters in banking, finance, capital markets and financial services regulation,” says Sean Lederman, joint head of ENSafrica’s banking and finance department.

“Nzame and Curwin bring unique skills to the team and their appointment ties in with ENSafrica’s goal of providing integrated, collaborative and seamless services in key sectors and supporting our clients wherever they choose to do business in Africa,” added Roger Rudolph, joint head of ENSafrica’s banking and finance department.
