Tomorrow, Thursday 18 April 2019, Democratic Alliance (DA) Leader, Mmusi Maimane, will visit the Union Buildings in Pretoria to view President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Declaration of Interests since his election as President of the Republic in February 2018.
President Ramaphosa’s son, Andile Ramaphosa, has benefitted to the tune of at least R2 million from business dealings with the systems management company, Bosasa, during the President’s first year in office. This is the same company that has spent almost two decades bribing ANC officials in order to secure lucrative government contracts.
South Africans need to know whether this benefit to the President's son was improper, whether the President’s position and information entrusted to him enabled the benefit, and whether the President declared this conflict of interest - as the President had also received a R500 000 "donation" from Bosasa CEO Gavin Watson.
Maimane will be joined by DA Gauteng Premier Candidate, Solly Msimanga.
