ActionSA has learnt of the Democratic Alliance’s (DA) latest low, allegedly peddled by its Ward 28 councillor in Ekurhuleni, Mary Goby, who is said to be spreading misinformation – claiming the existence of a planned coalition between ActionSA and the ANC following the coming Local Government Election.

Let us set the record straight. ActionSA will never go into any coalition agreement with the ANC. ActionSA President, Herman Mashaba, and the whole of our party are clear on that fact.

We are a party that stands for the rule of law, ethical and competent leadership, resident-centric service delivery, professionalised public service, and believe in creating a prosperous and inclusive South Africa that benefits all.

The criminal enterprise masquerading as a political party, the ANC, could never embody our values and commitment to service delivery.

The alleged conduct by the DA once again demonstrates the depths of its decline. A long time ago, it was a party that challenged the ANC. Now it is a party that seeks to minimise its decline by opposing other parties who challenge the ANC.

The most recent polling places ActionSA ahead of the DA and ANC in Johannesburg. When our polling emerges for Tshwane and Ekurhuleni, we are confident it will say the same thing. The DA’s decline and self-mutilation has been in freefall since 2019. Indeed, if memory serves well, it is the DA that seems to be in an unholy marriage of convenience with the EFF and the ANC in Tshwane, not ActionSA.

ActionSA is competing in these elections to unseat the ANC and FIX South Africa from ruins and decay. We will continue to provide South Africans with a real alternative to the current broken political system.

On 1 November, vote ActionSA and become part of a growing party that works to bring inclusive change to all South Africans.
