The US Embassy invites young South African leaders between the ages of 25 and 35 to apply for the 2022 Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, the flagship programme of the US Government’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI).
The Fellows are accomplished leaders with established records of promoting innovation and having positive impacts in their communities and countries.
The Fellowship includes a six-week Leadership Institute at a US college or university where participants can share their experiences with and learn from US citizens and other Fellows.
Participants will explore industries beyond their daily work, attend a Summit with young African leaders in Washington and meet with US Government, civic, and business leaders.
