AmaNtshangase great place is both astonished and disturbed by the news of alleged humiliation and the subsequent suspension of their Chief, Chief Bhekabambo Ntola ( “ Nguboyesizwe”) , firstly , without following the fundamental principle of justice ( hear the other side of the story ) & secondly , to receive the news of the case and suspension on media , not from the Eastern Cape COGTA MEC ‘s Office .

The great place wishes to place the records strait, though, the matter is sub-juice, as it is both a matter the COGTA Department is internally dealing with and the judicial system as the matter is in court.

The incident happened + six years ago, hence its surprising why it was not taken up then and waited for so many years to be brought up.

An incident of a man and woman who were alleged to be committing adultery was reported by a man who was affected to the great place and subsequently people involved were advised by the great place to handle the matter as a family and if they require assistance they may asked the great place or use judicial institutions. The great place is not aware of other allegations, hence it’s awaiting the department and court for other details of the case.

The great place wishes to further set the records strait:

The great place is guided by Christian values, the Constitution of the land and all subsequent policies;

The great place detests the violation of human rights which includes gender based violence and to that respect it support the campaign on GBV.

AmaNtshangase great place, the council, the whole nation of AmaNtshangase and neighboring traditional councils are with their chief and are taking this matter not as an attack to their chief, but to AmaNtshangase as a whole and to the broader traditional leadership.

The great place wishes to advise the department to further ponder its approach and decision.
