Presidential spokesman Bheki Khumalo on Sunday called on South
Africans to ignore rumours that African countries had voted against

President Thabo Mbeki will lead a strong South African delegation
to Zurich, Switzerland, to find out whether South Africa has won
the right to host the 2010 Soccer World Cup.
The new president will be elected on April 23, the Cabinet heard on
Wednesday at its last meeting before the upcoming general election.
