Ethiopian Airlines

Ethiopian Airlines is the flag carrier of Ethiopia and one of Africa's largest and most successful airlines. The carrier is headquartered in Addis Ababa and operates from its hub at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. Ethiopian Airlines is wholly owned by the Ethiopian government and operates as a state enterprise. The airline provides passenger and cargo services across an extensive network spanning Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, North America and South America. Its fleet includes modern wide-body aircraft such as the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A350, alongside narrow-body jets for regional and continental routes. Ethiopian Airlines is a member of the Star Alliance, the world's largest global airline alliance, which enhances its connectivity and code-share partnerships. The carrier has positioned itself as a key player in African aviation, offering extensive intra-African connections and serving as a major transit hub for intercontinental travel. Ethiopian Airlines also operates subsidiary airlines and provides technical and management support to other African carriers as part of its pan-African expansion strategy. The airline was founded in 1945, making it one of the oldest continuously operating airlines in Africa, and has grown to become a symbol of Ethiopian enterprise and a driver of the country's economic development.
