African National Congress (ANC) president Jacob Zuma was set to continue the party’s local government election campaign on Thursday, this time in the Bojanala Region of the North West province.

Zuma was set to canvas for votes in Madibeng local municipality where he was scheduled to conduct a door-to-door campaign, and also visit traditional leaders in Maboloka outside Brits, and address a siyanqoba mini rally at Letlhabile Stadium.

Zuma’s visit in North West follows campaign efforts by ANC secretary general Gwede Mantashe in Matlosana in the Dr Kenneth Kaunda region on Wednesday.

Mantashe had called on voters to vote ANC in the August 3 Local Government polls.

Party deputy secretary general Jessie Duarte was in Rustenburg last week, while ANC deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa had also campaigned in Rustenburg recently in a bid to secure votes for the ruling ANC.
