The Young Communist League of South Africa in Josie Mpama District (Fezile Dabi Region) wish to congratulate the South African Communist Party in the Free State on the performance in Metsimaholo By-elections held on the 29th of November 2017 in which the SACP secured 3 council seats. We would also like to thank the community and in particular young people for voting for the SACP.

As the YCLSA, we are confident that the victory of the SACP in the Metsimaholo outcome is a clear indication that the party is well received by communities . We look forward to seeing the SACP taking a revolutionary decision to contest state power in
the upcoming 2019 National General Elections.

The Metsimaholo By-elections outcomes have proven to us that the majority of South African in particular in local communities are looking for an Alternative to represent them in Government. It is time the SACP position itself to represent the masses of our people . We cannot allow being spectators in a revolution to transform and lead our society to a socialist country. We have a duty to put in place the objectives of socialism, eliminate capitalism and fight corruption.

On Coalition Government
As the YCLSA in the district, we reject any call for the SACP to partner with any political party to form a coalition government against the will of community . The call of point for the SACP to engage any political organizations is to engage community first, even if it means SACP must serve as opposition.

The community needs to be decisive in who should lead them in council. It is their responsibility to choose a party that will represent them and be able to implement its manifesto or policies to betterment their lives. This task cannot be left to any elite boardroom negotiations.
