UASA: Fuel price drop a relief, but struggling workers still have to count every cent

The small drop in fuel prices as from midnight tomorrow will bring welcome relief to workers and consumers in general.

But the petrol price dropping by 25c a litre for both 95 and 93 octane while both grades of diesel will come down by 23c, still leaves us with higher fuel prices than in January this year.

However, UASA is of the opinion that in a stable political and economic environment, South Africans would have benefited by even lower fuel prices. In the current situation, struggling workers still have no choice but to pull their belts tighter by the month.
