The National Council of Provinces (NCOP) will on Thursday, 1 August 2013, hold two special debates and an Oration of Condolences on the passing away of former Chief Justice Pius Langa.
 
The first debate will be on Mandela Day, under the theme: Paying tribute to a fearless warrior for social justice and champion of our people, will be led by the Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Mr Marius Fransman.
 
The second debate will be on National Women’s Day, under the theme: Unity in action for the advancement of Women’s Socio-Economic Freedom. This debate will be led by the Deputy Minister of Women, Children and People with Disabilities Ms Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu.
 
The oration of condolences on the passing away of Chief Justice Langa will be led by the NCOP Whip for KwaZulu-Natal, Mr Lewis Nzimande.
