THE MINISTER OF TRADE AND INDUSTRY, DR ROB DAVIES TO BRIEF MEDIA ON THE SA-CHINA TRADE RELATIONS AHEAD OF THE PRESIDENTIAL STATE VISIT

On Thursday, 27 November 2014, the Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr Rob Davies will brief the media ahead of the SA-China State visit. President Jacob Zuma will hold bilateral discussions with President Xi Jinping during a State Visit to the People’s Republic of China from 4 – 5 December 2014. During the visit the President is expected to officially represent South Africa at the closing ceremony for the “Year of South Africa” 2014 in China and hand the Year of China in South Africa 2015 to President Xi.

President Zuma will also address the business forum which will be attended by government and private sector leaders. This forum will provide an ideal opportunity for interactions with the Chinese business community. Minister Davies will brief the media on trade and investment relations between South Africa and China.
