the dti’s NATIONAL FESTIVE SEASON LIQUOR ABUSE AND COMPLIANCE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN GOES TO OLIEVANTHOUTBOSCH

The Gauteng leg of the Department of Trade and Industry’s (the dti) annual national festive season compliance and liquor abuse awareness campaign will take place in Olievanthoutbosch this week under the theme Combating Liquor Abuse is Everyone’s Business. Members of the media are invited to cover the events:

The campaign is aimed at educating liquor traders about the importance of compliance to the country’s liquor laws and raising awareness among all members of the public about the adverse effects of liquor abuse, particularly during the festive season. The department uses the campaign to highlight the effects of alcohol abuse to the different aspects of human life, encourage compliance with liquor legislation by traders, encourage responsible trading, and to enhance community activism towards reporting illegal trading and violation of mandatory conditions.
