Submission To Parliament’s Constitutional Review Committee In Re: Expropriation Without Compensation

The Joint Constitutional Review Committee has called for written public submissions on the review of section 25 of the Constitution in order to effect the expropriation of land without compensation in the public interest. The spokesperson for parliament, Mr Moloto Mothapo said: “The constitutional review committee has called for public submissions and other sections where necessary to make it possible for the state to expropriate land in the public interest without compensation”.

NADEL submits its written submissions and requests that it be allowed further to make oral submissions before the committee in parliament.
