The Statistician-General of South Africa, Dr Pali Lehohla, will release reports on the performance of the Manufacturing and Construction industries at a media briefing to be held on Monday, 26 September 2016 in Pretoria. 

The reports present the results of structural industry surveys of both industries, and contain financial, production and employment statistics for 2014. Among the data presented in the reports is information on income generated by enterprises operating in the industries, profit margins of enterprises, employment and expenditure.

The reports will also indicate the contribution of large enterprises and SMMEs to the respective industry’s income and employment.

The media briefing will be held as follows:
