The South African Security Forces Union (SASFU) congratulates Cde Cyril Ramaphosa on his newly elected position as the President of the Republic of South Africa, and by extension the 5th Commander in Chief of the security forces since the dawn of democracy.

SASFU further wishes to affirm the commitment to ensure that the security forces of our country are always prepared to protect and defend the security of the people of South Africa.

We are looking forward to working together in addressing and resolve the many challenges our members are facing.

SASFU also bids a good farewell to the outgoing Commander in Chief President Jacob Zuma. We thank him for his service rendered to the country, and in particular his leadership over the South African National Defence Force (SANDF).  May he succeed in his future endeavours.
