The South African National Civic Organization (SANCO) is engaged in a
serious fight against corruption in the schools throughout the
country. Sanco has noted with great concern various irregularities
within the education sector and as such has resolved to leave no stone
unturned in combating all forms of such acts which are not in the best
interest of the African learner.

We are sick and tired of individuals without qualifications or with
fraudulent qualifications occupying strategic positions in the
education of our children. Such elements must be rooted out of the
education system and at the same time be named and shamed in the
public domain.

We call upon the department of education to conduct a thorough audit
on all qualifications without delay. To this end SANCO will be making
groundbreaking presentations to the portfolio committee on education
at the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial legislature tomorrow the 04th
September 2015 at 10:00. The presentation will shed light into the
deep seated problems of corruption which have been going on for far
too long especially in the KwaZulu-Natal province.

The time to root out corruption is now. There is no more hiding place
for corrupt individuals within our schools.
