SADTU Western Cape pledges solidarity with our sister union in the public service, POPCRU, in the fight to defend collective bargaining.  We find it disturbing that collective agreements are not implemented which has now resulted in protest action.

The intransigent behaviour of the employer has resulted in low morale of public servants and hence POPCRU members, as a last resort, have to embark on protest action to highlight their plight.

We call on the employer to adhere to the demands of POPCRU as a matter of urgency.
