SACP 1st Deputy General Secretary Comrade Solly Mapaila to address funeral service of murdered SACP members and SAMWU leaders

The 1st Deputy General Secretary of the South African Communist Party will attend the joint funeral service of SACP members and leaders of the South African Municipal Workers’ Union (Samwu), Comrades Ronald Mani and Timson Musetsho, who died last week after being shot for their active roles in fighting against corruption.
 
Details of the joint funeral service are as follows

Date:                       Tomorrow, Saturday 9 February 2019

Starting Time:        07h00

Venue:                  Makhuvha Stadium, Thohoyandou, Limpopo: Along Pundamaria Road, R524, 12km east of Thohoyandou Town.

The media is invited to attend and cover the funeral service.
 
Comrade Roland Mani was Samwu Limpopo Provincial Deputy Secretary, shop steward in the Vhembe District Municipality and a member of the SACP. He was shot dead on the night of Wednesday 30 January 2019.
 
Comrade Timson Musetsho was Samwu Limpopo Provincial Chairperson and SACP member. He died in hospital, eight days after he was shot arriving at his home, in Vhembe.
