The Portfolio Committee on Sport and Recreation wishes to extend condolences to the family of Mr Ted Dumitru (76) who passed away yesterday.

The Committee is saddened to hear of the passing of the former coach of our national football team Bafana Bafana. He also coached three of South Africa’s biggest football clubs, Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Sundowns.

Committee Chairperson, Ms Beauty Dlulane said, South Africa is poorer without his contribution in shaping future football stars of this country.

The Committee wishes his family strength during this time.
