The National Council of Provinces today unanimously elected Mr Seiso Mohai as its new Chief Whip.

Mr Mohai's election at today’s plenary sitting of the NCOP followed the resignation of former Chief Whip, Dr Hunadi Mateme, who held the position since May 2014.

Chairperson of the NCOP, Ms Thandi Modise, thanked Dr Mateme for her services and wished her well. Ms Modise also congratulated Mr Mohai on his new responsibilities.
