he Chairperson of the Select Committee on Land and Mineral Resources, Mr Olifile Sefako, on behalf of the committee, has extended heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, colleagues and comrades of the late Minister of Environmental Affairs, Ms Edna Molewa.

Mr Sefako said news about her untimely passing came as a shock, as the country is reeling from the continued devastating effects of global warming. He said the late Minister Molewa exuded full appreciation of the critical role the environment played in ensuring sustainable livelihoods and socio-economic prosperity.

He said the country is poorer today without Minister Molewa who was a humble and dedicated servant of the people.
